The Volcanoes Natural Park surrounds Timanfaya National Park and provides a unique setting for a hike. The recent volcanic eruptions that occurred around 1730 and struck Lanzarote for 6 years changed the island's configuration, leaving a unique, world-renowned volcanic landscape. This, combined with the area's environmental protection, makes this route a stunning display of colors that is hard to forget.
On this tour, you will discover the fascinating world of volcanoes by crossing lava flows and ascending volcanic cones where you'll find channels, tubes, lava lakes, and spectacular craters. All these formations are perfectly preserved because Lanzarote's arid climate means little vegetation grows, keeping the landscape like a gigantic open-air rock museum. You will also get to understand the slow but constant resurgence of life on the lava. Ultimately, this visit will lead you to understand the internal forces of our planet and what it was like many millions of years ago.

What to bring
- Closed footwear without heels, hiking or sport shoes with a sturdy sole
- In summer, a hat and sunglasses are welcome
- we recommend bringing some light warm clothing, such as a sweatshirt, windbreaker, or similar
- Water and supplementary energy boosts: Sandwiches, snacks, energy bars, etc.
Important
- The activity lasts 3 hours plus the round-trip travel time we need from your pick-up location to the tour starting point.
- Clients should bring closed-toe athletic or hiking shoes. Clients wearing inappropriate footwear such as high heels or flip-flops will not be accepted on the excursion. In the event client does not wear appropriate footwear, will not be able to participate in the activity and refunds will not be provided
- Activity only suitable for children over 7 years old
- The excursion is not able for people with significant mobility problems and a risk of severe cardiac or respiratory problems
- You must stay hydrated, so please bring enough water
- Participants under 18 years old must join the activity accompanied by an adult
